I happened to find your page when I saw your use of `thundercake's painting tutorial. From my experience on the site--which is mainly as someone who researches artists and the use of the web, not as an artist--lots of people use the journal to post about all kinds of things going on in their lives. And sometimes people post way more journals than art. I do :)
